Something Old

A few weeks ago, during a visit to my wondeful Momma's house, she asked me to go through the some boxes filled with items from my childhood. I found some interesting items - unfinished baby books, drawings from my toddler days, old letter from pen pals, and some "books" I wrote in elementary school. (More on this later... they're too funny to not post about).

One very special item I found was enclosed in a note from my aunt. The note reads:

"Dear Brittany,
Enclosed is a lace handkerchief for Mommy to tuck into the sleeve of your gown at your Christening. It was made by your great grandmother (or her sisters). Then Mommy can put it away and save it for the day you get married - your 'something old'.
God bless you, Brittany!
We love you!
Aunt Pam"

And, here's a picture!

Now, I just need to find a something new (does the dress count?), a something borrowed, and a something blue (Gator Garter?).
